One measure of excellence is bringing it every time. Their address should be #23 Belt Line Rd, as in the GOAT. They only have the best ingredients and top notch chefs. So the results are always excellent. That's means a lot in my book. Kudos to the ownership and management team.
Finally a seafood restaurant in Dallas that serves wild caught salmon! I can't believe how many seafood and sushi restaurants serve farmed salmon, it's been very hard to find places that truly serve healthy wild fish. This was a great meal, our server was excellent also. Food came out quickly and the fish was prepared perfectly. My only complaint is that their bread (complementary) is really really hard and difficult to chew. Aside from that, everything was great and their pricing was reasonable which was an added plus. I was impressed with this restaurant and will be back!
I enjoyed a nice quiet birthday dinner alone here recently while my husband was traveling for work. My salmon was cooked perfectly as I had asked for it well done. I was seated at a nice booth in an area behind the bar. Everyone was nice but my server Haylee made me feel like I was visiting a friends house to eat. She was friendly and a pleasure to chat with.
Overall a great experience, service was exceptional, food was good, definitely above average, but not great as one would expect at this price point! Expect to spend $75 per person, portions were adequate, not huge, but with an entree and a soup or salad, your appetite will be more than satiated! Some of the food was very tastefully seasoned, while the Wife's seabass relied on copious amounts of butter to provide flavor! I had the Filet Mignon w/ scallops and lobster mac & cheese, definitely a good combo, generous portion of the mac & cheese balances out the rather small filet.
This review is long overdue. My wife & I have been dining here since they opened. Sorry it took so long to say something...I guess we didn't want them to get too crowded so we couldn't get a reservation Fantastic menu. Great service. Thank you Athena for a great evening! She knew the menu well and suggested specials and wine. This was a fine dining experience in a relaxed environment. We had a well paced dinner without feeling like we were being rushed. A first-time customer table next to us had a birthday celebration and they were given special attention, which my wife & I were impressed by. Taking the time to make these folks feel welcome and appreciated made us want to come back more often. The staff here are fully engaged and you can sense it from everyone...hostess, busters, servers (also bartenders, although we didn't have bar time in this case) The U2 shrimp appetizer is ridiculous! The lobster were afraid of this bad boy! The cioppino was fantastic and the halibut/U10 scallop special was great. Wine list is robust with some outstanding specials. We liked the "8 years in the desert" red blend ...almost (30% off!) It's been a while since my wife & I have been here (6 months or so) but we always say the same thing when we leave: "Why don't we come here more often (like once a week!)?" Answer: (this time). WE WILL!!!
We came here for Valentine's dinner. We had the lobster bisque, house salad and crab cakes for appetizers. They were all outstanding. We had three orders of bread. There were sourdough and pretzel breads with delicious garlic herb butter. We enjoyed them very much. For our entrees, we had the salmon, gulf red snapper and amber jack special. They were all prepared perfectly and all of us thought that they were terrific. The amber jack was served over a lobster, shrimp and crab chowder, which was exquisite. We finished off our meal with the warm chocolate cake. It was delightful with the cappuccino my wife ordered. The overall experience was just wonderful, the best part being Cassie, who pushed our dining experience to the next level, as her attention to detail is phenomenal. I don't give 5-star reviews often. Way to go, Chamberlain's! We will definitely be back. Happy Valentine's Day, indeed!
My first time at Chamberlain's and was not disappointed in the least. I had a chopped salad with house dressing, which was tasty and a good size. The bread and garlic whipped butter is always tasty. I ordered the shrimp and grits which had plenty of flavor and was the perfectly portioned. The staff was quite attentive.
Came here for a birthday dinner with several friends and had a good experience. The waiter was very informative and helpful during our meal and informed us of the daily specials for the evening. The service was prompt and they accommodated to our parties' needs. -Their sourdough bread is delicious and the butter they bring out is AMAZING! I couldn't stop eating it. -Fried calamari ($13): These were fried perfectly and were accompanied with a Thai chili sauce. -Steamed mussels ($14): Mussels in a white wine sauce with garlic, cilantro, and lime. This was delicious and even better with bread dipped in the sauce to soak up all the flavors. -Chilean Sea Bass ($36): The sea bass had a citrus ponzu sauce and came with a side of the garlic sesame rice and roasted asparagus. The rice was a bit undercooked but the flavors were still good. The sea bass was buttery and delicious but I wish the portions were a bit bigger. -24 oz. Rib-eye: This was one of their daily specials and came with a side of their shrimp and lobster mac & cheese. The meat was super juicy and marbleized for extra flavor. The mac & cheese was absolutely outstanding! Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal and was satisfied. I will be back here again!
The food here is excellent and the service was outstanding! I participated restaurant week yesterday and Patrick was my server. He is attentive, sweet and very knowledgeable about the wines and pairings. I am glad the hostess sat me in his station. As for the food, I had the elk cigars, water melon salad, 40 day aged fillet mignon, and coconut rum Creme brûlée! Friend had the kale salad, seafood crepe and cheese cake which we shared. Elk cigars: delicious! It sat on top of a warm avocado and poblano peppers I think? It was truly a splendid combination with a nice light outer layer. My only comment is that it should improve on the outer shell to have a light crunch next time. Watermelon salad: who would have thought blue cheese and watermelon on a salad would come together with light balsamic vinegar? Deliciously topped with sautéed meat crumb and well presented. Friend had the marvelous kale salad but I enjoyed my watermelon salad more. The kale was perfectly balanced. The fillet mignon, sent back to be cooked to the temperature I desired, was delicious but I think I would be happier if I had that salad again. It was just too good. Anyway, back to the fillet mignon, nicely seared outside and soft on the inside. Good presentation! The desserts are also heavenly! The cheese cake was melting in my mouth, came layered on the top with a chocolate mouse I think and well settled in the tips of my mouth. The Creme brûlée, oh my god! Thin and light crusted caramelize sugar that had been gooey and not over cooked! Nicely presented with berries! All in all, I will come back and will request to sit with Patrick again. Thanks for the delightful experience, chamberlains!
